Debating within five feet of the incumbent president, Mitt Romney was clearly knowledgeable of the domestic and economic issues requiring attention, and came well prepared with solutions, despite obama’s repeated and trite attempts to discredit him. Without any sign of let down, Governor Romney did present, in an understandable way, the issues that have all but destroyed our economy and the manner in which he would correct them. obama, on the other hand appeared agitated, and uncomfortable with having to answer questions and defend the policies that have failed to quickly bring this country out of recession. One had to wonder if he might have been off his feed, in light of his wife’s dictatorial policy of calorie counting. Then again, the issue could have been his need for a smoke.
Governor Romney explained Dodd-Frank to the president and the some 50 million people watching. He chastised the president on his misuse of taxpayer monies with regard to the “stimulus” and particularly payback money given to failed green projects, such as Solyndra etcera, whose backers and company officers contributed to his 2008 election and current attempt for re-election. Governor Romney challenged the unseemly costs and $750 Billion taken from medicare to support obamacare, while obama attempted to sidestep and stretch truths about the 15 appointed bureaucrats who would make health decisions for people according to cost and not need, completely removing any semblance of doctor-patient relationship. Governor Romney gave the president a lesson in simple economics, supply and demand, a much-needed lesson for an individual who never had a real job, ran a company or ever had to make payroll. Governor Romney explained how the budget could be balanced despite obama’s objections and questioned why obama had not done what he promised when he campaigned in 2008. It would seem that the president had wished he had remained at Hoover Dam, watching water flow, rather than be put in a position to have to respond to criticism. It is apparent that his ego was too large for him to prepare adequately for a debate with Governor Romney, who proved to be brighter, better prepared and certainly more knowledgeable than the president forced to stand on his own two feet.
The president’s ego took a hit last night, and he did not like that at all. The president was put in a position for the first time, not having advisers whispering in his ear or writing scripts that he could read on a teleprompter. The president, who had been protected and coddled by the liberal media was forced to answer for all of his partisan, anti-American policies for the first time in the four years he has held that office. All of the false ads that he encouraged against Governor Romney, such as the accusation that the Governor had been complicit in the death of a woman with cancer will come back to haunt him over and over again. The fact that the president never chose to distance himself from harry reid’s lies about Governor Romney’s taxes will hang heavy over his head as well until November 6th when he is removed from office.
Even liberal democrats, such as van jones, and bill maher found the president’s performance lacking. But there are always idiots out there like the bloated, hypocrite, michael moore who found the need to blame the outcome on the moderator. All of the hollywood not so leading cloned ladies who found the need to open their mouths without any knowledge of the facts, should be concerned that the intelligent American public might think twice about spending money to see their mindless, contrived movies.
I cannot wait for the Paul Ryan-joe bidumb debate which is a week away. The veep does not have to rehearse his stupidity. he has already achieved it with flying colors.
