Just prior to the “agreement” for which he who was marked present and who has taken full credit, that would prevent the shutdown of the government, Obama stated on April 7, that he would veto a troop funding bill, calling it a distraction. Some one should inform this so-called leader, that our troops have been protecting American citizens for over two hundred years, a fact perhaps lost on Obama since this may not directly impact upon him.
Any one who believes that Obama’s cancelling of yet another family trip, this time to Williamsburg, had any thing to do with patriotism, they should make an appointment with their psychiatrist immediately. All smiles, as if he had accomplished the impossible, Obama showed up, where else but the Lincoln Memorial to impress upon tourists the fact that he was so successful in keeping Washington open for them. In truth, this was just another attempt on the part of this fading disaster to keep his 2012 face in the limelight.
Michelle Bachmann, who in principle did not vote for the 11th hour bill, plans to send a bill to the house that will provide for the funding of our brave fighting men and women separate from a budget bill, to eliminate the possibility of defunding if another idiotic crisis such as we have just gone through might recur. The 2011 budget should have been passed six months ago, but Obama and the democrats were afraid doing so would have diminished their already unsatisfactory performance in the midterm elections. Either way they were correct.
If the EVIL h. reid allows Bachmann’s bill which the Republican majority in the House should pass to reach the floor or the Senate, who among those democrats will dare vote against it. Obama will have to do his usual flip-flop as he has done so many times already when it comes to party versus country.
