In his attempt to improve his public image the current occupant of the White House is trying to convey a new personage, that of centrist as he looks toward 2012. This, his handlers most likely believe will solidify his leftists base who understand it is a ruse and return independents who have deserted, to the fold. The latter is just to smart to fall for all that hope, change and transparency rhetoric, non of which ever materialized. Actually, change did occur, unfortunately. I would remind you of Obama’s statement that he planned to undertake the fundamental change of America. Those who fell for the smoke and mirrors and the imitation Greek columns, will not do so again. We do not this country transformed into a socialist state.
In the beginning, Obama likened himself to Lincoln. Now Lincoln freed the slaves. Obama’s policies could make slaves of all of us. Then he compared himself to F.D.R. and Woodrow Wilson. This was the most reasonable since both were progressives and furthered excessive social programs which accomplished nothing for the good. He now, on the week that we celebrate Ronald Reagan’s birthday suddenly has begun to quote the 40th president. Obama will never be a Ronald Reagan since the late president’s life experiences dwarf the smallness of one being a community organizer and spending a brief and inconsequential period of time in the U.S. Senate.
Ronald Reagan used diplomacy when indicated, catered to no one etiology, was instrumental in the ultimate downfall of an oppressive government, was not afraid of confrontation, showed leadership, honesty and was considered a what you see is what you get, good guy. To date Obama has not achieved any of the aforementioned.
Ronald Reagan, a true patriot worked his way from Hollywood, to Governor of California to the White House. Along the way, he matured and became a Republican. On the other hand, the mysterious man who sits in his chair in the oval office, conceivably was groomed from a very young age, taught socialism and Marxism while spending time in Muslim schools in Indonesia. When the time came to challenge the system by presenting a “black man” to the 2003 Democratic convention, and allowing him to orate as well he can, it became clear that the country, tired of war, might well benefit from a black presidency. Good promises made by politicians generally are never kept. The electorate, so blinded by the man, believed what they thought were good things and sadly, the rest is history. Unfortunately, it would seem that Obama believes everything he says. The American people must be alert to crisis not wasted and more promises never meant to be kept. It always remains mind-boggling when a politician promises, if elected, to do all of the things he promised the first time. The fact that people fall for this garbage is amazing. Some Americans had better sole search their intense Liberal views and not even consider Obama for a second term.
