Juan Williams was fired by NPR allegedly because of a statement he made on the Bill O’Reilly program. Williams volunteered that he has fears or concerns when boarding a plane also carrying muslims in full garb. NPR is reluctant to discuss the “other issues” that they may have had with Williams during the ten year period he was associated with public radio, that espouses the Liberal/Leftist agenda. I have thought Williams to be rather fair in his comments most of the time when appearing on Fox News, despite his own personal liberal leanings. I guess we have to be re-reminded of Obama’s statement concerning his mother or grandmother when one of them expressed similar fears about black people. Jesse Jackson made a similar comment also about black people at night. It is not a matter of right or wrong. It was how these people felt under certain conditions where they believed threatened. Perhaps we should remove “political correctness” from the lexicon. There is more of a mania associated with being politically correct than the so-called “islama phobia” the left accuses any one who might wish to recall the circumstances of 9/11/2001 or feels the mosque should be built elsewhere. Juan Williams is bright and will do just fine.
